Since the Syrian conflict began four years ago, on 15 March 2011, more than 191,000 people have died, one million people have been injured, and the toll continues to rise. Tens of thousands of victims now require orthopaedic-fitting and rehabilitation care. An entire generation of injured and maimed people need immediate and long-term care. Handicap International has deployed 600 people in the field as part of its response – the largest and most complex in its history.
